Conflicts of Interest A conflict of interest is defined as a situation in which a person, such as a public official, an employee, or a professional, has a private or personal interest sufficient to appear to influence the objective exercise of his or her official duties. Examples include: inappropriate vendor relations, misuse of confidential information, inappropriate customer relations, unfair competition.
Contracts, Reports or Records Falsification of records such as altering, fabricating, falsifying, or forging all or any part of a business document, contract or record for the purpose of gaining an advantage, or misrepresenting the value of the business document, contract or record. Examples include: forging signature on a contract, falsely inflating contract amount.
Retaliation for Reporting Financial Concern Verbal, physical or written discriminatory or harassing behavior toward an individual because they made or participated in a good faith report regarding a financial concern.
Securities Laws Concerns about violations of securities laws. Examples include: insider trading.
Submit a Report Only to Camden's Audit Committee Chairman Reports submitted under this issue type can be viewed only by the Chairman of Camden's Board of Trustees' Audit Committee.
Supplier, Vendor or Contractor Activity Concerns about questionable supplier, vendor or contractor activity. Examples include: bribes or kickbacks.
Unlawful Disclosure Unauthorized and unlawful disclosure of corporately owned intellectual property or trade secrets, as well as employee, customer or consumer information, marketing and other corporate databases, marketing plans, business proposals and strategies. Examples include: releasing confidential financial information.
