Conflict of Interest A conflict of interest is defined as a situation in which a person, such as a public official, an employee, or a professional, has a private or personal interest sufficient to appear to influence the objective exercise of his or her official duties. (Examples include: inappropriate vendor relations, bribery, misuse of confidential information, inappropriate customer relations)
Copyright Violations or Software Piracy Unauthorized use of corporately owned copyrights or software; also includes the use of unauthorized software on corporately owned systems.
Data Privacy Refers to the technical, contractual, administrative and physical steps taken by the Company to protect against unauthorized access to and disclosure of personally identifiable data of employees and customers and other third parties that we possess.
Disclosure of Confidential Information Unauthorized and unlawful disclosure of corporately owned intellectual property or trade secrets, as well as employee, customer or consumer information, marketing and other corporate databases, marketing plans, business proposals and strategies.
Discrimination or Harassment Uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct directed at an employee because of his or her sex, religion, ethnicity, or beliefs. (Examples include: bias in hiring, bias in assignments, wrongful termination, bias in promotions, bias in educational decisions, unfair compensation, inappropriate language).
Diverting of Product or Business Opportunity Using corporate property, information or position for personal gain; appropriating or diverting any business opportunity or idea in which the Corporation might have an interest; competing with the Corporation in any way.

Environmental Protection, Health or Safety Law Violation of any environmental law, regulation, corporate policy or procedure with respect to the handling and disposal of hazardous materials or the health and safety of other individuals.
Falsification of Contracts, Reports or Records Falsification of records consists of altering, fabricating, falsifying, or forging all or any part of a document, contract or record for the purpose of gaining an advantage, or misrepresenting the value of the document, contract or record.
Gifts and Entertainment Refers to the inappropriate offering, solicitation or accepting of items of more than nominal value from vendors, customers or other third parties in a capacity as an employee of the Company.
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act This Category should be selected if there is a concern with the improper use or disclosure of Protected Health Information. Protected Health Information is information that:
(1) is created or received by a health care provider, health plan, public health authority, employer, life insurer, school or university, or health care clearinghouse; and (2) relates to the past, present, or future physical or mental health or condition of an individual; the provision of health care to an individual; or the past, present, or future payment for the provision of health care to an individual; and (i) that identifies the individual; or (ii) for which there is a reasonable basis to believe the information can be used to identify the individual.
Improper Lobbying or Political Contribution Inappropriate activities in violation of federal and state lobbying and political action, including the contribution or acceptance of funds meant for another candidate or the improper use of contributed funds for personal gain.
Improper Supplier or Contractor Activity Supplier or contractor activity in violation of corporate policies and procedures; improper supplier or contractor selection based on personal gain, improper negotiation or diversion of contract awards.
Improper Use of Intellectual Property Unauthorized and unlawful disclosure of confidential information including inventions, research and technical data, formulas, discoveries, designs, improvements, ideas, manufacturing directives, computer programs, trademarks, patents, copyrights, unpublished financial or pricing information and all related documentation.
Intellectual Property Infringement Any unauthorized or inappropriate use, misappropriation, or disclosure of confidential information (in any form) or intellectual property belonging to the Company or any customer, supplier or business partner of the Company including, without limitation, any intellectual property protected under any U.S. or other laws relating to copyrights, patents or trade secrets. Misleading Sales, Marketing & Advertisement False, misleading or deceptive advertising, packaging, point of purchase displays or promotional materials, deliberately misleading messages, omissions of important facts or false claims about the Corporation’s or competitors’ products.
Offensive or Inappropriate Communication The use of inflammatory, derogatory, unduly critical or insulting communication to an employee.
Product Quality Concern A product quality issue that has arisen but is not being appropriately addressed through the company’s normal channels to deal with product quality issues.
Retaliation Verbal, physical or written discriminatory or harassing behavior toward an individual who has made a good faith report regarding a compliance issue.
Sabotage or Vandalism Destruction of an employer's property (as tools or materials) or the hindering of manufacturing by discontented workers (Examples include: Equipment destruction, stealing, work slowdown, computer virus).

Violence or Threat Violence is an expression of the intention to inflict evil, injury, or damage to a person or their property. (Examples include: direct, veiled, conditional, violent)
