Discrimination or Harassment Uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct directed at an employee based on a protected class. Examples include: bias in hiring, sexual harassment, race discrimination.
Health and Safety Failure to follow safe work practices. Examples include: violations of OSHA or EPA regulations, improper handling and/or disposal of hazardous materials.
Misconduct Any misconduct not captured by the other definitions.
Retaliation Verbal, physical or written discriminatory or harassing behavior toward an individual because they made or participated in a good faith report regarding discrimination or harassment.
Theft The taking and removing of personal property with intent to deprive the rightful owner of it.
Violation of Policy Actions that violate company policies and procedures.
Violence or Threat An expression of the intent to inflict injury or damage to a person or their property.
Wage and Hour Concerns about timekeeping practices. Includes any complaint concerning falsifying time, working off-the-clock, unpaid overtime, paycheck errors or missed rest breaks and meal periods.
