Discrimination, Harassment or Retaliation Prohibited conduct by employees or third-parties including harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, national origin, disability, age, religion, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetics or any other legally protected class.  This also includes retaliation against any person for filing or providing information related to a complaint of prohibited conduct or against any person engaging in otherwise protected activity.  (JCCC Policy 420.01)
Employee Complaints A problem or issue negatively impacting the employee’s workplace or working conditions that is not covered by another avenue of redress through College policies or procedures. (See JCCC Policy 421.01)
Employee Misconduct Behavior in violation of JCCC’s employee conduct and performance policies including but not limited to:  Conflicts of Interest (JCCC Policy 431.00), Dating and Relationships (JCCC Policy 423.02), Nepotism (JCCC Policy 423.01), Political Activities (JCCC Policy 427.01), or Substance Abuse and Alcohol (JCCC Policy 424.03)  Other examples include falsification or employment documentation.  Note: This category is not intended to include reports of Sexual Misconduct or Discrimination, Harassment or Retaliation as those reports are maintained in the appropriate reporting categories listed above.
Sexual Misconduct Sexual Misconduct by employees or third-parties including non-consensual or unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors or any other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual or gender-based nature, including sexual assault, rape, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual harassment, sexual intimidation and hostile work/academic environment. (JCCC Policy 650.00)
Whistleblower Retaliation Reports of retaliation against an individual for reporting, causing to be reported or assisting in an investigation of alleged wrongful conduct.  Examples of wrongful conduct include theft, fraud, or inappropriate use of resources; falsification of contracts, reports or records; improper supplier, vendor or contractor activity; intentional misreporting of financial transactions; or inappropriate or malicious use of a technology resource.  (JCCC Policy 424.08)
