A Message from the New Castle County Auditor and Audit Committee

The County Auditor reports to an independent Audit Committee composed of five individuals outside of New Castle County Government. Both the County Auditor and the County Audit Committee value honesty, integrity, and trust, and believe that the employees, citizens, and customers of New Castle County Government value them also. As such, if you are aware of any instances of suspected fraud, waste, or abuse, we want to hear from you.

We have partnered with an outside company, EthicsPoint, Inc., to provide a secure, confidential, anonymous reporting system to bring concerns to the attention of the independent County Auditor. You may report such concerns either though a secure phone line or through an internet link on this page (“File a New Report”).

Please do not confuse EthicsPoint with the New Castle County Ethics Commission.
The County’s Ethics Commission is responsible for investigating complaints regarding the County’s Ethics Code. The Ethics Code prohibits conflicts of interest and appearances of impropriety in the conduct of New Castle County public officials and employees. EthicsPoint is a system, administered by EthicsPoint Inc., to report instances of fraud, waste, and/or abuse in the County government; this system is not to be used to report items which fall under the purview of the Ethics Code.

If you have questions on whether to report an item to the Ethics Commission or via EthicsPoint, please refer to:
