Florida International University has selected EthicsPoint, Inc. to provide you with a simple way to anonymously and confidentially report activities that may violate University regulations, policies and procedures, or state and federal laws. EthicsPoint, Inc. is an independent company that provides confidential reporting services to hundreds of universities and companies.

Reports submitted via EthicsPoint will be handled as promptly and discreetly as possible. Your concerns will first be referred to a committee consisting of the University Compliance Officer, the Vice President for Human Resources and the Internal Audit Director. This committee reviews all reports that come in to determine the University’s immediate and initial response and also to determine what other University personnel, if any, must be involved in the investigation and ultimate resolution of this matter. Relevant information will only be shared with other University personnel if it is necessary or appropriate to investigate or resolve a matter. EthicsPoint and the University are each committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of individuals who submit reports whenever possible. Further, no one submitting a report will be subjected to retaliatory action for inquiring about possible criminal, unethical, or otherwise inappropriate activity or behavior, or reporting them in good faith. Florida International University has established a number of policies and procedures for handling the concerns and complaints of all members of the University Community. This ethics and compliance hotline is not intended to replace, or supersede, any existing reporting methods already in place, and we encourage reporters to first attempt to resolve problems or disputes through established channels, whenever possible. Instead, this system is intended to offer an additional means of reporting in situations where the individual making the report is unable or unwilling to use the existing procedures. This system is also to be used when the reporter wishes to remain completely anonymous.

Please know that this ethics and compliance hotline is not the ideal mechanism to report human resources matters, or issues concerning alleged discrimination, or harassment. Matters of this nature usually cannot be appropriately addressed when the complainant chooses to remain anonymous, and Florida International University may not be able to properly investigate such allegations based on an anonymous report. Other established university channels should be used to report these matters, whenever possible.

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5 - 6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
