Drug or alcohol use or addiction
Drug or alcohol use includes selling, possessing, distributing, consuming, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol. Drug or alcohol addiction means you or someone you know feels that need to take drugs or alcohol before performing a task or entering any situation.
Harassment, intimidation or bullying
Any conduct or behavior that: causes you or someone you know bodily injury or offensive unwanted touching; places another in fear of bodily harm or significant fear, discomfort, or embarrassment; makes fun intending to evoke contemptuous feelings toward another, damage to reputation or cause significant emotional distress.
Sexual abuse
Sexual abuse is unwanted sexual activity, with perpetrators using force, making threats or taking advantage of victims not able to give consent. Sexual abuse is the sexual involvement or contact by any adult with any minor or student. This involvement or contact includes rape, statutory rape, sexual touching, sexual exploitation, sexual harassment and conduct suggestive of attempt to commit any of these acts. A student can never consent to any form of sexual contact with any adult.
Sexual harassment
The making of unwanted and offensive sexual advances or of sexually offensive remarks, acts by school employees, teachers, coaches, staff, volunteers, other students, or third parties. This includes requests for sexual favors; touching of a sexual nature; offensive sexual jokes.
Suicidal thoughts, inclinations or actions
You or someone you know is thinking about seriously hurting themselves.
Violence or threats of violence
Violence is an expression of the intention to inflict harm, injury, or damage to a person or their property. Violence can include: 1. Someone is hurting you or others by physical assault. 2. Someone is using a dangerous weapon to frighten people. Threats of violence can include: 1. Someone says they plan to hurt you or others 2. Someone frightens you or others by displaying or using a dangerous weapon.
