Bribery/Kickbacks Reports of the solicitation or acceptance of cash, gifts or favors by an employee from a third party where the third party seeks to influence the employee in the performance of their official duties on behalf of the organization in order to achieve a desired outcome.
Compliance/Policy Concern Reports of departures from policies, procedures, laws and regulations applicable to the organization and its employees.
Conflict of Interest/Ethics Concern Reports of ethical violations and/or apparent or actual conflicts of interest, ether a self-report or a report on the behavior of others. A conflict of interest can arise in any situation where an employee's financial or personal interest could potentially or actually interfere, or even appear to interfere, with their business judgement or the interests of the organization.
Falsification, Misstatement or Destruction of Records Reports of unauthorized acts or omissions which alter any record submitted to, relied upon or belonging to the organization from its genuine condition to a false condition or which result in the unauthorized destruction of records required to be maintained by the organization.
Privacy/Confidentiality Concern Reports related to unauthorized dissemination or use of information about people or the organization that the organization considers confidential and/or sensitive. This includes any non-public information that is not intended or permitted to be shared beyond those with a genuine business need to know the information.
Procurement/Contracting Concern Reports of procurement or contracting activity in violation of the organization's policies and procedures; improper supplier or contractor selection based on personal gain, improper negotiation or diversion of contract awards.
Theft, Misuse or Misappropriation of Assets Reports that the organization's assets are being wasted, inappropriately used, abused, stolen, or not properly protected. This category can include a wide array of assets such as property, tools, money, credit cards, facilities, company vehicles, employee time, e-mail, computer resources and abuse of employer provided benefits.
