Ciena considers open and honest communication to be a vital part of a positive work environment, and we are committed to maintaining a workplace in which employees can report concerns without fear of retaliation. As such, each of us has a duty to report violations of the Code. If you suspect or become aware of any violation of our Code or applicable law in connection with Ciena’s business activities, you must report it promptly.
Consistent with its Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Ciena is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance in all of its business dealings. To that end, it is Ciena’s policy to address reports about potential violations of the Code of Conduct, company policy or internal controls, or applicable law or regulation in a thorough, timely, objective and professional manner.
Investigations, inquiries, and complaints are kept confidential as permitted by law and Ciena's need to appropriately address the issue. You have the option of submitting your concern anonymously where permitted by law.
Ciena strictly prohibits retaliation against employees who raise concerns in good faith or who cooperate with investigations. Anyone engaging in retaliation is subject to discipline, up to and including termination of employment. If you believe you or others have been retaliated against for reporting suspected misconduct or cooperating with an investigation, report it to People and Culture or an attorney in the Legal Department.
