Integrity and Compliance

McMaster University is committed to the highest standards of honesty, propriety, and integrity. It is University policy to investigate objectively any alleged dishonest or fraudulent activities related to funds or property owned by, or in the care of, the University.
The University’s Dishonest or Fraudulent Activities Statement of Policy provides a framework for administering the University’s process in dealing with reported non compliance, dishonest and fraudulent behaviour.

If you have questions or concerns in the following categories which are governed by the Statement of Policy for dishonest and fraudulent behaviour and monitored by the Internal Audit Department, following are links to contact people, phone numbers, e-mail addresses or web sites which may assist you in understanding McMaster’s policies and procedures and provide a process for voicing your concerns.

In addition to these resources, McMaster has contracted with EthicsPoint to provide you access to report activities that may involve misconduct or violations of university policy. You may file a report here (click on a category to the left) or dial 888-493-1864. This service is not a substitute for, nor does it supersede, any reporting methods or protocols already in place at McMaster for reporting suspected problems or complaints. Reports made via EthicsPoint will be reviewed in accordance with University procedures and policies. McMaster policy prohibits the taking of retaliatory action against those reporting or inquiring about potential breaches of policy or for seeking guidance on how to handle suspected breaches.
