St. Lawrence University has selected EthicsPoint to provide a simple, anonymous way for employees and all members of the broader St. Lawrence University community to confidentially report activities that may involve certain improper conduct or violation of SLU's policies. St. Lawrence considers concerns of all of those who interact with the University very important and desires your cooperation in resolving any issues. However, the Positive Workplace Hotline does not replace or supersede existing reporting methods on campus. The University strongly encourages employees, students, alumni, vendors and all of those in the St. Lawrence University community to report concerns directly through normal lines of communication and for those employees in bargaining units to utilize the grievance procedures provided for in their collective bargaining agreements, as appropriate.

There are some categories of concerns that are better reported through the existing channels for resolution:

Issues or concerns related to academic activities such as suspected academic integrity, academic conflict, or tenure and promotion, student behavior and responsibilities are best handled within the existing protocols for resolution. Please direct your inquiries to the relevant body such as the Academic Honor Council, the Department Chair/Program Director, the University Vice President and Academic Dean or the Vice President and Dean of Students. Specific protocols can be found in the Faculty Handbook or at https://www.stlawu.edu/resource/student-handbook.
In the case of emergency, contact the Security and Safety Office at 229-5555 or 911.
If the existing protocols are insufficient, and a concern is reported using the Positive Workplace Hotline, please describe how resolution has been attempted.
