To Make a Report

Your manager and Human Resources are available to help resolve non-criminal and other employee-related issues, and you are encouraged to seek their assistance. To report violations of YMCA of the USA’s Code of Conduct or to report safety violations related to Local YMCAs, you have the following reporting options.

Reports of suspected criminal activity or Code violations at YMCA of the USA will be evaluated, and a determination will be made as to whether an informal inquiry or a formal investigation will be conducted. Your full cooperation in the investigation is important and expected. Failure to cooperate may be treated as a separate violation. There may be instances where the Office of the General Counsel conducts the investigation, or retains the services of outside counsel, accountants or other outside advisors as deemed appropriate by the General Counsel or as directed by the Board of Directors. The Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel and/or Audit Committee may report the results of any inquiry or investigation, together with a recommendation as to disposition of the matter, to the Board of Directors as and when deemed appropriate.

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.

Each staff member, volunteer, charitable partner, vendor and other third party that works with YMCA of the USA has a responsibility to uphold the Y’s values and demonstrate a commitment to basic principles of integrity, lawful conduct, business ethics and good judgment.

YMCA of the USA expects that if you become aware of potential criminal activity or a violation of the YMCA of the USA Code of Conduct (“Code”), you will immediately report such activity to YMCA of the USA. In line with our commitment to you, we have partnered with EthicsPoint to provide you with the ability to report anonymously and confidentially. However, you also have the option of identifying yourself during the reporting process.

Reports related to local YMCA ethical or code of conduct violations should be reported to the local YMCA at issue. YMCA of the USA is separate and distinct from the local YMCAs and has no ability to control their operations.
