Why a Reporting Hotline?

The Utah System of Technical Colleges (UTECH) recognizes its obligation to its students, faculty, staff, and friends to maintain the highest ethical standards in its operations. To help meet this goal, UTECH has established this confidential reporting mechanism, the UTECH Ethics Hotline. Via the Hotline, you can alert us to activities that may involve criminal, unethical, or otherwise inappropriate behavior in violation of UTECH policies or the public's trust. We encourage your use of the Hotline.

The UTECH Ethics Hotline is hosted by a private contractor, EthicsPoint. EthicsPoint will not divulge the identity of a hotline reporter without the reporter's consent.

How to File a Report

Three reporting mechanisms are provided by EthicsPoint. Via each, the same information is requested and the same follow-up opportunities exist. You may use any of the following to submit a report:

  • Call the EthicsPoint Call Center toll free at 888-239-9732
(Para hacer una denuncia en español, favor de llamar 888-239-9732.)
  • Click on any college campus listed and follow these simple steps:
  1. Select a violation category
  2. Select an issue type
  3. Choose a location within the college campus
  4. Fill out a report
  5. Receive a report key and password

We encourage each reporter to follow-up the report’s status within 5-6 business days. UCAT may have posted feedback or may be requesting further information in order to proceed with an investigation. As with the initial report, any follow-up reporting will be kept anonymous if the reporter desires.

Our Commitment

Reports submitted via EthicsPoint will be handled as promptly and discreetly as possible, with the facts made available only to those who need to know to investigate and resolve the matter. Due to the nature of certain claims, UCAT may be limited with respect to the action(s) it may be able to take in response to a report if the reporter does not wish to make his or her identity known. However, all reports submitted will be carefully reviewed. There will be no retaliation against anyone when in good faith he or she files a report.
