As Globeleq Africa Holdings employees, we each have a shared responsibility to do the right thing and to speak up if we see, hear or suspect that something isn’t quite right. Getting in touch with us is quick and easy and you may choose to remain anonymous, where permitted by law.

Report your concerns safely

You are our eyes and ears – and don't need to worry about raising a conduct concern. Across the firm, we strictly prohibit intimidation or retaliation against anyone who contacts us in good faith to share a potential or actual violation of our Code of Conduct, or anyone who assists us in looking into an inquiry.

When you share a concern with us, you have our commitment to handle it discreetly, involving only those needed to review and/or remediate it. If you are ever concerned about possible retaliatory action, report it immediately to your manager, Human Resources or the Conduct Hotline.

Conduct Hotline Process

  1. Voice your concern: After you voice your concern, you will be contacted by the assigned case partner (normally from Legal/HR) to discuss this further as soon as possible. In most jurisdictions, you may choose to remain anonymous. If you choose to remain anonymous, please provide as much detailed information (i.e. who, what, when, where, why, how) as possible so a thorough review of the concern can take place.
  2. Initial Assessment: Based on information you provide, your assigned case partner will develop an action plan to address your concern. The case partner and you will establish a plan to stay connected and discuss confidentiality and anti-retaliation.
  3. Information Gathering: Further investigation meetings may be needed including a fact-finding meeting with the subject of the concern and relevant parties (on a need-to-know basis which may include management). The details of any complaints or concerns received are handled discreetly.
  4. Review: On completion of the investigation, a determination regarding the appropriate outcome will be made, considering the facts of the case. A range of disciplinary and non-disciplinary outcomes will be considered. Due to confidentiality, these outcomes are generally not shared with you.
  5. Completion: You’ll hear from your case partner when the review is complete. If you have any remaining related questions in the future, you can contact your case partner.

What is the Globeleq Speak Up Hotline?

The Globeleq Africa Holdings Conduct Hotline is a channel for employees to raise conduct concerns if they see, hear or suspect something isn’t quite right and/or goes against our firmwide Code of Conduct. The Conduct Hotline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the option to submit inquiries by phone, online, or mobile.

What type of concerns should I report?

You should report concerns of inappropriate business conduct, improper data management or incidents that compromise our Culture of Respect. Some examples include:

  • You or someone else has been subjected to unfair treatment, bullying, harassment, discrimination or a violation of policy/law; and/or
  • Something was said in the workplace that makes you feel uncomfortable (e.g., a comment about something in the media, a protected class, politics, etc.).

What happens after I report a concern?

An internal case partner who has had extensive training on our Code of Conduct and how to resolve reported issues will be assigned to each reported concern. The case partner will thoroughly review the concern, only discreetly involving those parties necessary to bring it to resolution.
