Gallaudet University, including the Clerc Center, is dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and ethical environment for everyone. The Administration & Operations Manual contains institutional policies and procedures. Individuals are encouraged to first address concerns with campus departments to resolve problems through established channels whenever possible.
The institution depends on positive contributions by people like you. If you do not know established reporting channels, or if using these channels make a situation uncomfortable or is otherwise inappropriate, this online tool is available. It is designed to supplement, not replace, existing campus reporting systems.
The University contracted EthicsPoint to provide a simple, anonymous, and confidential way to report activities that are possibly illegal, unethical, or inconsistent with University policies. Violations of law or policy often result from lack of information or a mistake. On rare occasions, we must discipline deliberate misconduct. Your report enables us to address the situation consistent with the campus Whistleblower Policy.
A report to EthicsPoint can also offer constructive suggestions to eliminate financial waste or to improve safety. All reports through EthicsPoint will be forwarded to university officials for prompt, discreet, and appropriate action.
EthicsPoint provides a formal mechanism to investigate your complaint or suggestion and to respond back to you. This flow of information depends upon your writing down a unique code.
The University's goal is to make reporting easy and risk-free to you, and the institution prohibits retaliation for any good- faith report.
The University will use its best efforts to protect well-intentioned people who report suspected illegal, unethical or otherwise inappropriate behavior. No employee will suffer adverse employment action as a result of making a report.
