Ethics and Compliance

Calavo Growers, Inc. intends to conduct its business honestly and ethically, every day and everywhere. Calvo’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy provides its employees with guidance to make the right choices, no matter their roles or where they are in the world.

Employees are responsible to report any suspected misconduct immediately and to collaborate with investigations. Calavo encourages employees to bring any concern about potential fraud against the company and/or misconduct to the attention of their supervisors, their human resources representatives, or the internal auditors.

For situations where employees may not feel comfortable using above communication methods, Calavo offers a phone and web-based reporting system called EthicsPoint to report concerns anonymously and confidentially. This tool is not intended to supersede normal managerial and administrative channels. Although union represented employees are encouraged to use EthicsPoint, the tool is not a substitute for grievance procedures contained in collective bargaining agreements.

Calavo does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who genuinely raises a concern or asks a question about potential violations. Concerns of misconduct are promptly reviewed by Internal Audit to determine what follow up actions are required, investigated if appropriate, and are treated confidentially to the extent possible to conduct fair and appropriate investigations.
