The Belk Excel Program is an important tool that any associate can use to prevent business losses and ensure that every Belk location maintains a safe, productive and enjoyable work environment.

You are encouraged to use the Excel line, or Excel website at any time to report any problems or situations that you suspect might be illegal or otherwise might have a negative impact on our company or its associates. This includes internal or external theft, shoplifting, fraudulent paper work or sales register transactions, and any type of unlawful harassment.

Speaking up to report such activity to a manager, Loss prevention or to the Excel line or Excel website is the right thing. When calling the Excel line or posting a report on the Excel website you can remain anonymous if you choose.

You can also help by keeping an eye out for - and reporting – business risks, which are situations that could potentially harm our bottom line. Business risks include:

  • Internal theft or fraud
  • Shoplifting
  • Unauthorized discounts
  • Sexual or other unlawful harassment
  • On-the-job drug or alcohol abuse
  • Unsafe situations
  • Willful disregard for Belk policies and procedures
