The Diocese of Toledo is dedicated to following the highest ethical and professional standards in all of our ministries, and to enforce both civil and canonical requirements regarding The Temporal Goods of the Church.
The Diocese continues to promote accountability and transparency by offering Finance Council and Business Manager trainings, a robust Internal Audit department, a proactive Diocesan Finance Council, and continued focus on both the Temporal Goods and Accounting policies in all financial areas.
The financial misconduct hotline is the reporting vehicle for use in ensuring responsible stewardship of temporal goods. The hotline can be used by employees, parishioners, volunteers, vendors and other parties to report confidentially any concerns related to financial matters in a confidential manner. Neither the Diocese of Toledo, nor any affiliated entity, will retaliate or take action against a person who makes a report. Every effort will be made to protect his or her identity and interests.
EthicsPoint, Inc. serves as the independent, third party administrator for the financial misconduct hotline. Reports may be filed via the web by clicking ‘Making a Report’ link on this web page or by calling one of EthicsPoint trained specialists toll-free at 1-866-384-4277.
One final note: This is a financial misconduct hotline. Other forms of misconduct should be reported directly to the Diocese. In the case of suspected or actual sexual abuse of a minor by diocesan personnel, immediate contact should be made with local civil authorities, and with the Toledo Diocesan Case Manager, Mr. Frank DiLallo. He can be reached at 419-243-2150 (private line) or 419-244-6711, ext. 122 in the Toledo calling area, or 1-800-926-8277, ext. 122 (Outside Toledo, Within Ohio).
