Ethics, Compliance and Complaints

All reports made to EthicsPoint are confidential and all good faith reporters are protected from retaliation by Oxfam America’s Whistleblower Protection Policy.

Oxfam America's mission to find lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and social injustice grows out of a deep commitment to human dignity. That commitment to dignity extends to the Oxfam community in the form of a safe and supportive work environment and to donors in the form of operational transparency and financial accountability. The Ethics Violation Reporting System protects this commitment by offering a safe means for reporting unethical conduct and poor program quality.

The EthicsPoint Violation Reporting System offers a simple, trustworthy, and confidential process for reporting violations of workplace policies and program quality concerns. Reports can be submitted via the internet from any computer, by phone from any country in which Oxfam America has a presence; or by written report. All reports are confidential and can be submitted anonymously. Individuals have the option to follow up on their reports confidentially. All reports are investigated quickly, thoroughly and impartially.

Oxfam America has contracted the company, EthicsPoint, to provide a customized tool for reporting violations of workplace policies, improper conduct and poor program quality. The Oxfam America-branded web site that EthicsPoint created and maintains includes a tool for confidential reporting and report follow up, with the option for anonymous reporting. This web site is independent from Oxfam America’s website and intranet. EthicsPoint's global telephone hotline service allows confidential reports to be submitted via toll-free telephone calls from any country where Oxfam America is operational.

The Oxfam America Ethics Violation Reporting System aims to:

  • Provide a safe tool for reporting workplace conduct violations
