Ethics Line
ATTENTION! This webpage is hosted on EthicsPoint's secure servers and is not part of the Newfield Exploration Company website or intranet.

It is Newfield's policy that all employees and directors maintain the highest ethical standards and comply with all applicable legal requirements when conducting Newfield business. Obeying the law both in letter and in spirit is the foundation upon which Newfield's ethical standards are built.

We are committed to:

  • maintaining employment practices based on equal opportunity;
  • respecting each other's privacy and treating each other with dignity and respect;
  • providing a safe working environment and an atmosphere of open communication;
  • protecting and improving the value of our stockholders' investment through prudently using our resources;
  • providing full and fair disclosure of our financial condition and results of operations;
  • competing vigorously and honestly in the oil and gas exploration and production industry;
  • being a responsible corporate citizen of the communities in which we reside;
  • abiding by all national and local laws; and
  • endeavoring to improve the well-being of our communities.

We are all accountable for the continued fulfillment of these commitments. Newfield's integrity, reputation and profitability ultimately depend upon the individual actions of our employees, directors, contractors, consultants, representatives, vendors and agents.

Newfield values your input and observations and expects you to speak out if you, in good faith, see conduct that may be unethical, illegal or otherwise inconsistent with the Corporate Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Newfield has provided the Ethics Line, which consists of this website and the toll-free telephone line shown to the left, as a convenient means for you to give your suggestions, concerns or reports of possible misconduct. If you are an employee, before making a report, we encourage you to consider raising your concern directly with your supervisor, a member of management, or the Compliance Officer, Stephanie John.

The Ethics Line is administered independently by a third party provider, EthicsPoint, to ensure confidentiality, to the extent possible, and anonymity, if requested. The Ethics Line is available 24 hours a day and allows you to follow-up on your report, even if you choose to remain anonymous. You may report possible violations without fear of retaliation. Newfield does not permit retaliation of any kind for good faith reports of possible ethical or legal violations.

We appreciate the support and cooperation of all members of Team Newfield in keeping Newfield an ethical and legally-compliant company from top to bottom.
