We are here to help.

Whether you are here to report a violation (or a possible violation) of the Code of Ethics ("Code of Ethics Matter"), to seek advice, or to report a conflict of interest, we appreciate that you are taking the time to make this report. The Code of Ethics is more than a set of corporate rules; it is the foundation of a business philosophy— treat people well, be transparent and do the right thing. But in order to put the Code of Ethics into action, we need you to speak up when you have questions or concerns and to report your own conflicts so we can manage our business effectively.

We understand that you may have questions about the process. We have answered some of the most common questions below, but you can always speak with your business unit Ethics & Compliance Officer, your HR representative or the Realogy Ethics & Compliance team if you need additional information. Contact information for these resources can be found here.

Thanks again for everything you to do to uphold the Code and make Realogy a great place to work.

FAQs

  • What happens after I complete my report?

    Conflict of Interest:
After you have self-reported a conflict of interest, your report will be assigned a case number and reviewed by your business unit Ethics & Compliance team. You will also be assigned a Report Key that will allow you to access your report after you submit it. It is important that you save your Report Key and Password when you report the conflict so you can use the follow-up function on the Code of Ethics Line to ask for updates on the review process. You may also receive questions directly from the person handling your matter.

    Code of Ethics Matter:
After you submit a matter for review, your report will be assigned a case number and your business unit Ethics & Compliance Officer will be notified of the matter. If you have identified yourself as the reporter, you will receive a notification that the matter has been received and is under review. You will also receive a Report Key that will allow you to access your report after you submit it. It is important that you save your Report Key and Password when you report the Code of Ethics matter so you can use the follow-up function on the Code of Ethics Line to ask for updates on the investigation. After your report enters the system, it will be assigned to an investigator, who may be a member of your business unit's Ethics & Compliance team, an HR representative or another appropriate individual. The investigator will conduct an investigation of the allegations, and if you have identified yourself as the reporter, you may be contacted about your report or if additional information is required.

  • Can I make my report anonymously?

    Conflict of Interest:
If you are self-reporting a conflict of interest, we need to know who you are. This process requires absolute transparency and, in some cases, management of the conflicting interests through your involvement, as well as the involvement of managers or human resources representatives. To address these issues effectively, self-reported conflicts of interest cannot be anonymously reported. If, however, you report actual or potential conflicts of interest involving another employee who has failed to self-report, your report will be handled as a Code of Ethics matter and may be anonymous as discussed below.

    Code of Ethics Matter:
If you are located in the United States, you may submit a report anonymously through our Code of Ethics Line, 1-866-495-2633. This call center is managed by a third party vendor with operators experienced in handling Code of Ethics reports. The details of any information you provide are submitted in a report to Realogy's Ethics & Compliance team, but Realogy personnel will have no access to any information from the third party call center to identify you. You will also receive a Report Key that will allow you to access your report after you submit it. It is important that you save your Report Key and Password when you report the Code of Ethics matter so you can use the follow-up function on the Code of Ethics Line to ask for updates on the investigation.

Outside the United States, laws regarding anonymous reporting vary. Depending on your location, you may not have the ability to file an anonymous report. You can contact the Code of Ethics Line at 1-866-¬495-2633, without identifying yourself, to find out whether you are able to report misconduct anonymously. If you are not permitted to make an anonymous report, remember that we still expect you to report any Code of Ethics violation of which you become aware. We know that it is stressful to report a violation, but we are counting on you to do the right thing to uphold our Code.

  • Will my report be handled confidentially?

    Conflict of Interest:
Ethics & Compliance works very hard to maintain confidentiality of all matters reported in the Code of Ethics Line. Conflicts of interest, however, may require disclosure if the conflict requires approval by your manager (e.g. positions outside of Realogy), HR or legal (e.g., relationship with an employee of a vendor). Information about conflicts of interest is disclosed to those persons within the company who have a legitimate need to know. The person reviewing the matter may advise your supervisor of your self-reported conflict, or may ask you to disclose the matter to your supervisor yourself, to ensure proper management of any relationship or interest.

    Code of Ethics Matter:
As stated above, the Realogy Ethics & Compliance team works very hard to maintain confidentiality of the identity of all persons reporting to the Code of Ethics Line whenever possible. We have been very successful in maintaining confidentiality of the identity of reporters during investigations. There may be some cases, however, where maintaining the confidentiality of the reporter's identity is not possible because of the nature of the complaint, the makeup of a particular department, legal requirements or other circumstances. In any case, you should remember that Realogy has a zero-tolerance policy that prohibits retaliation of any kind in connection with a Code of Ethics report. If you experience any form of retaliation after you submit your report, please contact the Code of Ethics Line or your business unit Ethics & Compliance Officer immediately.

  • Can I get in trouble for filing a report?

    Conflict of Interest:
You cannot get in trouble for self-reporting a conflict so long as you have reported in a timely fashion and have not accepted any benefits related to the conflict before receiving approval from the Code of Ethics Line. For example, if you have been offered a gift that requires approval from the Ethics & Compliance team, you may not accept the gift until you have reported it and the approval has been granted.

    Code of Ethics Matter:
To maintain an ethical work environment that we can all be proud of, we need our employees to come forward and report any violations of the Code immediately. You will not get in trouble for reporting a good faith concern about a Code of Ethics violation. Moreover, we try to make the process as easy as possible, understanding that it's not always easy to do what is right. To make it easier, Realogy has established a no-retaliation policy designed to protect employees who have submitted a truthful, good faith report from any adverse employment action, threats, harassment, discrimination or other retaliation related to their Code of Ethics report

  • How will I know the outcome of my matter?

You can always use your Report Key and Password to review the status of your reported matter online. If your conflict of interest is approved, you may not always receive a proactive communication. Be sure to check the system to see whether a determination has been reached.

    Code of Ethics Matter:
Due to matters of confidentiality, you may not always know the outcome of your report. Where possible, the Ethics & Compliance team will provide updates on the investigation, or you may access updates using your Report Key and Password. With ethically or legally sensitive matters, however, we may be restricted from disclosing certain information or outcomes. You can check in on the status of an investigation with your business unit Ethics & Compliance officer, and he or she can advise you whether the matter remains open and whether any confidentiality restrictions are in place.
