At Jackson State University, we are committed to upholding high ethical standards that are essential to the university's success. Accordingly, as responsible and accountable stewards, I believe that each member of the University community must be actively engaged in this effort.
To ensure that we have an effective means of reporting activity and behavior that does not support this commitment, the JSU Ethics Line has been made available. JSU Ethics Line is a comprehensive and confidential reporting tool designed to help address fraud, abuse, and other misconduct, all while cultivating a positive work environment. While I am confident that unethical behavior does not characterize the JSU community, I am committed to ensuring that questionable behavior and actions are promptly addressed.
Ethics Point manages the JSU Ethics Line. This internet-based reporting system is a means to discreetly and confidentially report activities that may involve unethical, criminal, or otherwise inappropriate behavior in violation of JSU policies. This system protects your identity and provides a formal mechanism for investigation, follow-up, and response.
Please understand that the JSU Ethics Line is not a substitute for existing reporting channels within the university. I encourage you to continue resolving issues or disputes through established University communications channels, whenever possible. When used wisely, I believe it will serve the university well in ensuring that we continue to maintain the high ethical standards we have all come to expect.
Sincerely,
Thomas K. Hudson, J.D.
President
