At Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU), we are committed to promoting and achieving the highest standard of ethical behavior throughout the University.
Employees and students are encouraged to report concerns through established reporting options, however, if an employee or student is uncomfortable using these methods, EthicsPoint is an alternative for filing legitimate concerns in an anonymous manner. Managed by EthicsPoint Company, the MVSU Ethics Line provides a readily available method to confidentially report activities/behaviors that appears inappropriate (i.e. criminal, fraudulent, unethical, or other inappropriate behaviors) and/or in violation of university policies.
The MVSU Ethics Line is a reporting tool that assists the university family in working together to address fraud, abuse, miscount, and other violations, while helping to continue to cultivate the positive environment we desire. The system is designed to protect the identity of individuals reporting suspect behavior, as well as provide a formal mechanism for investigation, follow-up, and response.
The MVSU Ethics Line is not a substitute for existing reporting channels established by Mississippi Valley State University, but is an additional option especially in instances where it important for the reporter to remain anonymous. I encourage you to continue resolving issues or disputes through established communication channels.
I appreciate your commitment in ensuring that MVSU maintains the highest levels of ethical standards.
Sincerely,
Jerryl Briggs Sr., President
