Our Commitment

The East Texas Food Bank is committed to serving our community in an ethical manner by maintaining the complete confidence of our donors, volunteers and employees while providing a workplace free of harassment, discrimination or retaliation. We have chosen EthicsPoint, a third-party anonymous reporting system, to provide a simple way for ETFB employees and stakeholders to confidentially report activities that may violate State and Federal laws, the policies and procedures East Texas Food Bank or unethical behavior by the food bank, its partner agencies, employees or volunteers.

All reports submitted to EthicsPoint are confidential and anonymous. Anyone may contact EthicsPoint and/or the Ethics Hotline, in good faith. Individuals will not be required to identify themselves and all communications will be kept strictly confidential to the extent possible while allowing the appropriate officials to investigate and respond.

Making a Report

If you do not feel comfortable reporting your concern based on our open door policy, you may use either of the following two methods to submit a report.

Phone calls to the Ethics Hotline will be answered by an EthicsPoint representative, not an employee of the East Texas Food Bank. Online reports will be directly sent to EthicsPoint. The ETFB and applicable state and federal laws prohibit retaliation against any individual who has, in good faith, lodged a complaint of unlawful discrimination, harassment or retaliation or who assists in a complaint investigation. Retaliation is also prohibited by various federal and state statutes addressing whistleblower protections. State and Federal laws prohibit retaliation against employees for reporting or assisting in an investigation of fraud. Whistleblowers are protected from harassment, demotion, suspension, discharge or any other manner of discrimination by the ETFB’s employees, managers, board members, contractors, and subcontractors.

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
