Our Commitment

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company LLC. Our Company is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws that prohibit discrimination against a qualified applicant or employee because of his or her disability.

Reasonable Accommodation. Our Company will provide, upon request, reasonable accommodation to a qualified applicant and/or employee with a disability to allow him or her to perform the essential functions of the job held or sought, unless the accommodation would create an undue hardship for the Company.

Requesting Reasonable Accommodation. The Company has established this hotline for qualified applicants or employees to request a reasonable accommodation. All requests for reasonable accommodation, whether written or oral, must provide the following information:

  • The specific accommodation requested;
  • An explanation of the limitation for which the accommodation is needed; and
  • A description of how the accommodation will allow the individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the job that he or she seeks or currently holds.

Upon request, the applicant or employee must also submit medical documentation to provide evidence of his or her functional limitation due to a disability in support of the request for reasonable accommodation. The employee should send the medical documentation directly to where it will be kept in a confidential reasonable accommodation file.

Following receipt of an accommodation request, the Company will engage in a timely, good faith, interactive process to determine whether an effective reasonable accommodation may be granted. The Company will evaluate each reasonable accommodation request on a case-by-case basis. The decision to grant or deny a request for accommodation will be made only after considering the essential information, including but not limited to input from the employee or applicant, the supervisor, and the healthcare professional as needed.

The Company may consult internal or external experts as appropriate in considering potential accommodations. The applicant or employee is not automatically entitled to the accommodation that he or she requests. However, an individual may refuse an accommodation offered. The Company prohibits discrimination or retaliation against qualified individuals with disabilities or who request accommodations pursuant to state and federal law.

The information you provide will be sent to us by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.
