THE USTA SAFE PLAY PROGRAM:

The United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA) Safe Play Program embodies the USTA’s commitment to promoting respect and safety for every individual participating in a USTA event or program through the use of screening, education and reporting tools. The USTA expects all individuals to adhere to its Safe Play Conduct, Policies & Guidelines, as well as all other USTA policies, procedures, and practices and applicable external laws and regulations.

The USTA works closely with the U.S. Center for SafeSport in developing its Safe Play Conduct, Policies and Guidelines. The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit organization responsible for responding to and preventing emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct and abuse in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement, which includes the USTA as the national governing body for the sport of tennis. The U.S. Center for SafeSport is also authorized by Congress to investigate and resolve all matters of sexual misconduct within the Olympic & Paralympic Movement. For more information about how matters involving sexual misconduct are handled by the U.S. Center for SafeSport, please visit HERE.

MAKING A REPORT

While the USTA recognizes how difficult it may be to report an allegation of misconduct, we strongly encourage individuals to include their contact information when making a report. Should you have a question on how to report, please contact safeplay@usta.com or visit www.usta.com/safeplay/report.

Maliciously or vindictively making a report of misconduct is prohibited and may violate state and federal criminal laws as well as civil defamation laws as well as any sanctions issued by the USTA. We take all reports about misconduct and maltreatment matters seriously and will look into each report and follow up when further action is appropriate.
