After you complete your report, you will be assigned a unique code called a “report key.” Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 10 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
BD is committed to complying with all laws, rules and regulations pertaining to its businesses around the world and acting in an honest and ethical manner at all times.
BD associates are expected to report all questions or concerns about any legal or ethical issue, or violations of the BD Code of Conduct or any other Company policy, and may do so without fear of retaliation as long as they are acting in good faith. “Good faith” does not mean that you need to be right – but it does mean that you should be telling the truth as you know and believe it. BD prohibits retaliation of any kind against an associate who reports questions or concerns in good faith. Any BD associate who engages in such retaliation may be subject to disciplinary action that may include, but not limited to, termination.
Associates can contact the Ethics Office to seek guidance or to report violations of law, the Code of Conduct, BD policies and procedures, or any behavior that may not be consistent with the BD Core Values. You may also contact the Ethics Office if you are not sure of the resources available to answer a question or to assist you in dealing with an issue.
Reports will be kept confidential. Information is shared on a “Need to Know” basis. In situations where you prefer to raise concerns without giving your name, and if permitted under applicable law, you are encouraged to use this helpline, hosted by a third-party provider, EthicsPoint.
See the EthicsPoint FAQs for more information.
