Mount Ida Reporting Home Page

Mount Ida College is committed to providing a campus environment free of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, fraud and other ethical concerns for its students, staff, faculty and visitors. We encourage all members of the Mount Ida community to promptly report any unethical or otherwise inappropriate activity or behavior which may violate College policies or the law.

To make reporting these concerns easier, Mount Ida College uses an independent third party company, EthicsPoint, to provide a confidential, online reporting options for members of our community. The EthicsPoint reporting portal also provides the option to submit reports anonymously. All reports submitted to EthicsPoint will be treated seriously and handled with discretion within the College. Using this EthicsPoint reporting portal will protect the identity of the reporter by limiting disclosure to only the College administrators charged with addressing those concerns. If a reporter chooses to report anonymously, the identity of that reporter will not be disclosed to the College. Retaliation against anyone submitting a report through this site is strictly prohibited.

How it works

A reporter would click on “Make A Report” at the top of this page to access the online reporting form. When you submit your report you will receive a unique report key and will be asked to choose a password, which you should write down. Reporters will not receive any type of email confirmation regarding their report. Instead, the report key and password will allow you to access you report again in the future to add details or to answer any questions that may have been posed.

Once the report is submitted, the reported information will be forwarded to Mount Ida College, as well as any identifying information, if provided by the reporter. Reporters also have the option to file a report anonymously. Reporters should understand that, if they chose to report anonymously, it will limit the College’s ability to communicate with the reporter regarding this matter, which may in some cases limit the College’s ability to respond to the report.

Report Follow Up

Anyone filing a report will be assigned a report key and will be asked to create a password at the end of the process, both of which should be written down. Reporters will not receive any type of email confirmation regarding their report. After 5-6 business days, the reporter should use their report key and password to check on their report for feedback or questions. Your report key and password will allow you to follow up on your report in the future by clicking on “Follow-Up On Report” at the top of this page. The EthicsPoint reporting portal allows the College to send information and ask questions of the reporter. Individuals who have provided identifying information may expect to be contacted by the College outside of the EthicsPoint reporting portal. When someone has reported anonymously, the College will only be able to communicate with the reporter through the reporting portal, which will maintain their anonymity. It is especially important for individuals reporting anonymously to be sure to write down their report key and password and to log back into the system (using the “Follow-Up On Report” tab above) to receive information from the College about their report.
