City of Santa Fe

Dear City of Santa Fe and City Employees:

As City employees, we all share the burden of protecting the public trust. We are, and should be, held to a higher standard as we go about the City’s business. We are proud of the work we do for citizens of the City of Santa Fe.

We believe that the work of the City should be conducted fairly, equitably, ethically, and transparently. And we further believe that proactive steps must be taken to insure that these beliefs are realized. It is important that employees are given a mechanism to voice concerns when they feel something is not right.

The Human Resources Department monitors the Fraud, Waste and Abuse Hotline, which is available to all City employees and the public. If you know or suspect misconduct, violations of City policy, theft, waste, or misuse of City assets, please make a report. The system operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can make reports using this secure website, or by calling the toll-free number. All reports are treated as confidential.

Unless you choose to be identified, no one will know who filed the report. Your identity is protected in a number of ways:

  • This website is operated by EthicsPoint and is not under the control of the City of Santa Fe,
  • Phone lines are staffed by EthicsPoint, so if you call you will not be talking to a City employee, and
  • You have the option of remaining anonymous and your call will be confidential.

We hope and expect that all City employees will act ethically and responsibly. When that is not the case, it is incumbent upon each of us to speak up so that the situation can be corrected. Please do not look the other way. We are entrusted with public funds and have a duty to use those funds efficiently, effectively, and equitably.

Sincerely,
Alan Webber, Mayor
John Blair, City Manager
