The University of Tennessee is committed to promoting a workplace culture of responsible and ethical behavior. To help maintain the highest ethical standards, the University has established a compliance hotline to provide a confidential, anonymous means for faculty, staff, students and other constituents (such as contractors, vendors or citizens) to report concerns. To ensure privacy, the hotline is managed by a third party, EthicsPoint, which can receive information via this website or by phone.
Anyone who reasonably suspects or has actual knowledge of a UT Code of Conduct violation, fraud, waste or abuse should report this information in a timely manner. Retaliation against an employee reporting evidence of or refusing to carry out a directive to engage in such activity is strictly prohibited. See the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse policy (FI0130) and the Code of Conduct (HR0580) for more information.
You may also contact the State Comptroller's Fraud Hotline at 1-800-232-5454 or visit their website to report fraud, waste, or abuse.
The UT Compliance Hotline does not replace or supersede existing reporting methods at the University. In addition, reports about the following issues are not accepted via the UT Compliance Hotline: discrimination in violation of University policies, sexual misconduct, relationship violence (dating violence or domestic violence), stalking, child abuse and/or child sexual abuse. Reports concerning discrimination in violation of University policies should be reported directly to the Office of Equity and Diversity (numbers listed below). Reports concerning sexual misconduct, relationship violence and/or stalking should be reported directly to the Office of Equity and Diversity or the University employee(s) identified in the applicable campus/institute policy on sexual misconduct, relationship violence and stalking. Reports concerning child abuse or child sexual abuse should be reported in accordance with Section 2 of University of Tennessee Policy SA0575.
You may use either of the following two methods to submit a report:
After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
