Sierra Gorda SCM is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want you to feel comfortable in approaching your supervisor or management in instances where you believe violations of Code of Business Conduct and Ethics have occurred.

In situations where you prefer to place an anonymous report in confidence, you are encouraged to use this channel, hosted by an international external company, EthicsPoint, Ethics and Compliance matter experts. You are encouraged to submit reports relating to violations of our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics or any other business conduct matters in regards to the following areas:

  • Accounting, Internal Control, Financial Reporting, for example: falsification, concealment, alteration, destruction of financial records; incorrect presentation of financial reporting; intentional violation of internal controls; overstatement/understatement of assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses; illegal transactions; misapplication of IFRS.
  • Business Integrity, for example: falsification of documents, contracts or records; conflict of interest of employees with vendors, customers, public officials, and other employees; illegal gratuities; inappropriate provider selection and contracting, contract management, material management, logistics; false purchases and sales; disclosure or inappropriate use of confidential information and intellectual property; inadequate donations, sponsorship, political contribution; bribery; bribery involving public officials; financing terrorism; money laundering; retaliations via harassment and threats against individuals who file a report; intentional violation of internal controls (collusion, circumvention of controls, management override of controls).
  • Misuse, Misappropriation of Assets, for example: physical theft or loss (scrap, spare parts, etc.); improper payment; inappropriate expense claim and reimbursement; inadequate gifts and entertainment expenses; light vehicles inappropriate use; fuel consumption abuse; misuse of information technology tools as computer, e-mail and Internet; unauthorized access to information systems.
  • Human Resources, Diversity, and Workplace Respect, for example: discrimination, sexual or labour harassment; inappropriate compensation, benefits, absenteeism, vacation; inappropriate selection and hiring of employees; workplace assault, violence, threat; unauthorized access to Company´s facilities; inequality in employment; personal information and privacy issues; unfair dismissal; breach of labor laws, collective bargaining or worker's rights.
  • Health, Safety, Environment and Community, for example: environmental irregularities; abuse or inappropriate use of substances; unsafe workplace conditions; failure to report or correctly report an environment, health & safety issue; failure to follow applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures governing the production, handling, testing, marketing and distribution of company products; inappropriate management of explosives, reagents, oil & lubricants, and other materials; noncompliance with community matters.

The commitment of Sierra Gorda SCM is that all reports received through this channel will be considered and, if warranted, investigated according to the policies of the Company. Anyone filing a report must be acting in good faith. Therefore, we ask you to use this channel responsibly, with serenity and clear awareness of the consequences it will cause when you use it. Please avoid using it under states of discomfort, pressure or alteration.
