Our Commitment
All members of the university are responsible for supporting GW’s mission by holding themselves and the community to the highest standards of ethical conduct and complying with laws, regulations, and university policies and are expected to report unethical conduct and noncompliance. Concerns can be reported via EthicsPoint (including anonymously), or other various reporting avenues based on the issue subject matter.
GW strives to create a positive and ethical environment and maintain the confidence of local, national, and global communities. The Code of Ethical Conduct (“Code”) presents the standards of ethical conduct applicable to all persons acting on the university’s behalf. The Code should be used as a general guide in making ethical decisions in all situations, including those where the “right” answer is not always clear.
Non-Retaliation Policy
GW is committed to conducting its affairs honestly, ethically, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and university policies. This includes compliance with applicable federal and local laws that prohibit retaliation and promote fair treatment of members of the university community who make good-faith reports of potential university-related violations of laws, regulations or university policies. Therefore, retaliation against members of the university community who make good-faith reports regarding potential university-related violations of laws, regulations or university policies is prohibited. More information can be found in the university’s Non-Retaliation Policy.
