Welcome to Shorelight’s
Ethics HelpLine

Shorelight is committed to maintaining the highest standards of business ethics and conduct. Therefore we have established a Code of Business Ethics and Conduct which sets out the principles of conducts and ethics to be followed by all of Shorelight’s staff, team members, contractors, vendors, and other third parties representing Shorelight.

This site is hosted by EthicsPoint, an independent provider of ethics and compliance reporting services, and is available for all Shorelight staff, vendors, grantees, volunteers, contractors, and other third parties representing Shorelight. You may use this site to submit reports regarding Shorelight’s Business and Ethics policies as described in the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct. Any information reported through this site will be treated confidentially by the organization, in accordance with Shorelight policy, and addressed by the appropriate Shorelight corporate representative.

Make a Report

You may use either of the following two methods to submit a report:

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." This will ensure your anonymity throughout the process. Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After five business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.

Please Note: This site should not be used for reporting events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. If you require emergency assistance, please contact your local emergency service.

Reporting Guidelines

Shorelight’s Ethics HelpLine is intended to address matters of a serious nature relating to the conduct of Shorelight’s teammates and associates. Any report made in good faith will be treated seriously, investigated as necessary, and addressed by the appropriate Shorelight corporate representative. The Shorelight Ethics HelpLine accommodates reporting of serious matters related to, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Irregularities in procurement, accounting, auditing, and contracting, and violations of applicable legal regulations
  • Conflict of interest
  • Criminal activities, fraud, corruption, bribes, graft, or misuse of Shorelight’s assets
  • Illegal and unethical hiring practices
  • Business relationships with parties involved in illegal or sanctioned activity, including entities that are sanctioned as terrorist organizations
  • Inappropriate interactions with students, other team members, partners, etc.

Confidential Reporting

You may use this site to make a report with an EthicsPoint operator or through an on-line form. We will treat your report confidentially. We ask you to consider providing us with your name and contact information so we may follow up if necessary. If you wish to make an anonymous report, though, you may do so through this site.

Shorelight encourages all team members to speak to their supervisor or human resources representative when they have concerns about a policy violation or misconduct, since this is typically the best method for addressing problems and allows the appropriate management to take action. However, in those exceptional cases where a person may fear for his or her job or well-being, Shorelight’s HelpLine is available to bypass those normal channels in a confidential manner.

Team members will not be discharged, demoted, or suspended and no retaliation will be taken against them for filing a report in good faith and not for any personal gain or motivation or for seeking guidance on how to handle suspected breaches.
