Willamette University is committed to its motto, “Not unto ourselves alone are we born,” which seeks to create a community where shared responsibility and integrity are valued and strengthened. Our University Policies contain general guidelines for conducting business with the highest standards of ethics to achieve these ideals.
Willamette is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. The University Fraud, Waste & Abuse Reporting Policy has been created to foster both an environment of open, honest communication and a commitment to stewardship of resources. All employees should feel comfortable in approaching a supervisor or manager in instances where violations of policies or standards are believed to have occurred.
In situations where employees may prefer to place an anonymous report in confidence, employees are encouraged to use a hotline hosted by a third party hotline provider, EthicsPoint. Employees may submit reports relating to violations stated of Willamette’s University Policies, as well as ask for guidance related to policies and procedures, or to provide positive suggestions and examples.
The information provided via the hotline will be sent to an appropriate University official by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if requested. All employee comments will be heard.
See the EthicsPoint FAQs for more information.
Note: The EthicsPoint system is used for reporting violations in conduct regarding ethical issues, fraud, waste and abuse of University resources. For reporting incidents of discrimination or bias, please use the University’s bias reporting form. You may use either of the following two methods to submit a report:
After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
