The American Physical Society (APS) is committed to the highest ethical standards. We expect that attendees, vendors, volunteers, APS staff and other stakeholders to conduct themselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all participants in APS Activities. Our Code of Conduct expresses the expectations for how we treat each other and create a collegial, inclusive, and professional environment to enable scientific discourse. The core principle throughout can be summarized this way: we will not discriminate, harass, retaliate, lie or tolerate those who do. We will be accountable for our actions and decisions as it is everyone’s responsibility to create a supportive environment to enable scientific exchange.
APS takes its commitment of responding to ethics concerns seriously. Suspected violations of the Code should be reported using our third-party hotline provider, EthicsPoint. The information you provide will be sent to us by Ethics Point on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.
See the EthicsPoint FAQs for more information.
