Our Commitment

MBL is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want you to feel comfortable in approaching your supervisor or management in instances where you believe violations of policies or standards may have occurred.

If you prefer to place a report or an anonymous report utilizing this Ethics and Compliance hotline system, EthicsPoint will send the information you provide to the system administrator for Marine Biological Laboratory, the University of Chicago Office of Compliance, on a confidential or anonymous basis. You have our guarantee that your concerns will be heard. This system is operated by NAVEX Global, a third-party provider, and is available 24x7x365.

If you have been sexually assaulted, contact the MBL Security Department x7911 (campus phone), or 508-289-7911 from external phone, or the MBL EEO Coordinator at 508.289.7378.

The Marine Biological Laboratory policy prohibits retaliation against an individual who in good faith reports or provides information through EthicsPoint.
