The Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) is committed to upholding the highest standards for respectful, professional norms and behavior and to fostering an inclusive climate. Consequently, harassment and unprofessional behavior at MPSA events including ancillary events and official and unofficial social gatherings are considered to be serious forms of misconduct. The MPSA Anti-Harassment Policy, MPSA Code of Conduct at Events, MPSA Policy on Editorial Conflicts of Interest, and the MPSA Council Member’s Code of Conduct establish expectations and define unacceptable behavior for event participants, the editorial team, and council members respectively.
We want you to feel comfortable in approaching the association in instances where you believe violations of policies or standards have occurred. MPSA has installed a phone and online incident reporting system which is managed by NAVEX's EthicsPoint system to enhance reporting efficiency and empower you to promote safety, security, and professionalism.
The EthicsPoint system is used by non-profits and businesses nationwide to provide a safe and confidential reporting mechanism, and as such may use terminology that is more common in business environments. For example, one question asks about involvement of a “supervisor or management”. In this case, please consider the question to be referring to department chair, dean, or program management.
The information you provide will be sent to us by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential basis and can be submitted anonymously if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.
See the EthicsPoint FAQs for more information.
You may use either of the following two methods to submit a report:
After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
