Our Commitment

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) is a public authority with strong values of responsibility and integrity. Various DASNY policies contain guidelines for conducting business with the highest standards of ethics. You may access relevant handbook and policies, such as those involving discrimination and employee conduct, on DASNY’s intranet.

DASNY is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want you to feel comfortable in reporting instances where inappropriate behavior may have occurred, without fear of retaliation. DASNY defines “Inappropriate Behavior” as any alleged corruption, fraud, criminal or unethical activity, misconduct, discriminatory action or abuse based on protected class status under New York State or Federal laws, waste, conflict of interest, intentional reporting of false or misleading information, or abuse of authority engaged in by any Member, officer, employee, consultant or contractor of DASNY that relates to DASNY (including by way of example and not limitation matters relative to DASNY's investments, travel, acquisition of real or personal property, the disposition of real or personal property and the procurement of goods and services, financings or construction projects). Accordingly, DASNY has adopted a Whistleblower Protection Policy and Procedure establishing, among other things, this hotline.

You are encouraged to use this hotline, hosted by a third-party hotline provider, EthicsPoint, to report such violations. While you may use the ‘anonymous’ reporting option, we ask you to consider carefully whether it is necessary. Anonymous complaints are more difficult to investigate, often due to the lack of detail. If you do choose the anonymous option, EthicsPoint guarantees your confidentiality and promises your complaint of inappropriate behavior will be heard.
