Reporting a business conduct / ethics violation

• If you believe violations of Merit’s policies or standards have taken place, please report them. You may speak with someone in the organization or use Merit’s independent Business Conduct Hotline to share information.
• Open and honest communication is expected across all aspects of our organization.

We want you to feel comfortable approaching anyone at Merit, whether it is your supervisor, human resources, compliance, legal, or management to report any issues. However, if you are not comfortable reporting through such channels, this hotline is another resource for you. When reporting an issue, please provide as much detail as possible.

Merit’s No Retaliation Policy

• Merit respects the confidentiality of employees who report business conduct violations.
• No retaliation means that employees who report concerns in good faith, will not be subject to any adverse employment action including separation, demotion, suspension, or loss of benefits for reporting an issue.

If you choose, the information you provide will be sent to Merit by EthicsPoint on a confidential and anonymous basis.

In reporting a violation through the Business Conduct Hotline, your privacy will be maintained in accordance with Merit’s policies and applicable data protection laws. After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
