Laredo College is an organization with strong values of responsibility and integrity. Our Employee Standards of Conduct DH (Local), Student Rights and Responsibilities - Student Conduct FLB (Local) and Accounting Financial Ethics CDE (Local) contains general guidelines for conducting business with the highest standards of ethics. Laredo College is committed to an environment where open and honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. Therefore, in order to promote ethical conduct and accountability, the College has established an Ethics Hotline.

The Laredo College Ethics Hotline allows for confidential incident reporting of suspected violations of policy and standards of conduct. Students, employees, faculty and any other affiliates are encouraged to use this hotline, which is hosted by a third-party hotline provider, EthicsPoint. The information you provide will be sent to us by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose.

Title IX Incident Reporting

Any student or LC employee who believes they are the victim of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and/or retaliation targeting students can report this information to the appropriate Title IX Coordinator, any faculty, administrative/professional or classified staff member. Title IX Campus Incident Report will adhere to Title IX policies and procedures.

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.

Fraud, Waste, and Abuse of State Resources

The State Auditor’s Office investigates allegations of misuse and/or illegal acts involving state resources. Anyone with information about the misuse or misappropriation of state resources can report this information by phone to 800-TX-AUDIT (892-8348) or use the State Auditor’s Fraud Web site.

Fraud, Waste and Abuse of Federal Resources

The US Government Accountability Office (GAO) maintains the FraudNet hotline to support accountability across the federal government. If you suspect fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement of federal funds, FraudNet can help report your allegations to the right people. After reviewing your allegations and obtaining additional information as necessary, FraudNet will refer your allegations to federal, state, or local agencies or departments, as appropriate.
