Each of us has the right and the obligation to speak up for an incident-free workplace

AES is committed to safety and security in the workplace and to meeting or exceeding environmental standards in every market we serve.

If you have any reason to suspect that any AES business, person, or contractor has violated our Safety or Security Rules or Environmental Procedures, speak up. Discuss the issue with your supervisor/leader, or HR representative. If you do not feel comfortable speaking up, Speaking Safely offers an anonymous and secure communication channel for alerting those who will help ensure your and your co-workers' safety.

AES Safety Beliefs

  • Safety comes first for our people, our contractors, and the individuals in our communities, and all work activities worldwide need to be conducted in a safe manner that promotes personal health, safety, and well-being.
  • Working safely is a condition of employment and each person is responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of their teammates and the people in the communities in which we work.
  • All AES people and contractors have the right and obligation to stop work as soon as they identify a situation they believe to be unsafe.
  • All occupational incidents can be prevented.
