Confidential Ethics Reporting
The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America has selected EthicsPoint to provide its employees with a way to anonymously and confidentially report actual or possible violations of either its Code of Conduct or its Conflict of Interest Policy. The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America takes breaches of its Code of Conduct and/or its Conflict of Interest Policy very seriously and will investigate all reported suspected violations. All inquiries will be handled in the strictest confidence, and no employee will be penalized for any report made in good faith concerning suspected unethical behavior. The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America forbids retaliation against employees who report, in good faith, perceived violations of the Code of Conduct or the Conflict of Interest Policy. The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America prefers that human resources issues be handled at the local level, and employees are encouraged to speak with their supervisors or division/group/regional directors or human resources staff to try and resolve issues before filing a report here. However, if the issue has not been addressed after a reasonable amount of time, we encourage you to file a report with EthicsPoint. The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and to protecting the integrity of the Boy Scouts of America. The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America's Code of Conduct and its Conflict of Interest Policy outline the minimum standards and guidelines of conduct by which it and its employees must abide. These guiding principles are consistent with the Scout Oath and the Scout Law and are set forth as benchmarks to ensure that employee and employer alike are treated with honesty and integrity and in accordance with the Boy Scouts of America's Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies, and procedures and with any applicable laws and regulations.
