What if this is an emergency?

If you require emergency assistance, please contact your local authorities. Events presenting an immediate threat to life or property should not be reported through the Hilton Ethics Hotline.

Who is EthicsPoint?

EthicsPoint is an independent company that provides confidential web and phone based reporting channels for Hilton and a variety of other companies. EthicsPoint maintains the Ethics Hotline and intakes information filed by Hilton team members through the Ethics Hotline's website and phone lines.

What types of concerns can I report through the Ethics Hotline?

The types of concerns that you can report through the Ethics Hotline vary by country, according to local law. Please contact your local Management, Human Resources, or the Legal Department and review the printed materials at your location for additional information regarding how to use the Hilton Hotline in your country.

What happens to reports filed through the Ethics Hotline?

Reports filed through the Ethics Hotline, either by internet or phone, are entered into EthicsPoint's secure server to prevent any breach in security. These reports are then made available only to specific individuals within Hilton who are responsible for determining the appropriate treatment and further action.

Should I report my concern to my supervisor, HR representative or management team?

You certainly can and we encourage you to do that if you are comfortable doing so. However, if you are not comfortable reporting your concern through these channels, you can use the Ethics Hotline. Reports filed through the Ethics Hotline can be filed anonymously in most countries, and all report information is secure and held in the strictest confidence to the extent reasonably possible..

Will I be retaliated against for reporting my concerns?

Hilton does not permit retaliation against team members for making good faith reports of suspected wrongful conduct or assisting in internal investigations.

What if I remember something important about the incident after I file a report?

When you file a report, you receive a unique user name and are asked to choose a password. You can return to the Ethics Hotline again either by internet or phone and add further information as necessary.

If I file a report through the internet, won't Hilton be able to trace my identity through my computer?

No. EthicsPoint, the independent company that maintains the Ethics Hotline and receives information from you, does not generate or maintain any internal connection logs with IP addresses, so no information linking your PC to EthicsPoint is available. Internet addresses are also stripped away so that anonymity is maintained.

Should I identify myself?

Preferably yes. If you identify yourself in reporting your concern, Hilton will make every reasonable effort to hold your name in confidence during the investigation. Many investigations can be more quickly and effectively completed when the reporter is identified because it allows the investigator to follow up directly with the reporter. Persons named within a report, will however, have the opportunity to respond to the descriptions of the circumstances that you have reported.

May I report my concern anonymously?

In general, you should disclose your name when submitting a report (see above FAQ). In individual cases however you may also choose to remain anonymous. At the conclusion of the reporting process, you will be provided with a report key and asked to create a password. You will need to use these to access the report you submitted. We encourage you to check back in order to monitor the progress on your concern and add additional information, if necessary. This will also allow Hilton to ask follow-up questions, while protecting your anonymity.

If you choose to report anonymously, please take care not to report information that may personally identify you, such as your specific reporting relationship to others within Hilton.

How do I make a request to my rights as a data subject?

Such request may be submitted by accessing the Data Subject Rights Request Portal or in writing to DataProtectionOffice@hilton.com or Hilton Data Protection Officer, 7930 Jones Branch Drive, Mclean, VA 22102, USA.
