Yes. With the enhanced EthicsPoint reporting system you now have the ability to file a confidential, anonymous report via the telephone or the EthicsPoint website.
The EthicsPoint system is designed to provide our employees the ability to make a confidential, anonymous report of any violation that relates to our stated Code of Conduct, or any another concern they may have.
When you observe a behavior that you believe violates our Golden Living Code of Conduct, we have the expectation that our employees will report it. Yes, ideally, we encourage you to bring any of your concerns directly to your manager or another member of our management team. Communicating directly with your management promotes good conflict resolution and allows you and your manager an opportunity to correct the situation immediately.
However, we recognize that there may be some circumstances that make direct communication with your manager less than optimal or you may prefer to utilize EthicsPoint. If ever there is a circumstance when you are not comfortable reporting a comment or concern to your direct supervisor, we encourage you to use EthicsPoint. It is for these circumstances that we have partnered with them.
We all have the right to work in a positive environment. With that right comes the responsibility of acting in an ethical manner and making the appropriate people aware of any inappropriate conduct. When we commit to incorporating systems and processes that promote working together, we are then able to maintain a healthy and productive environment. It is our intent to operate our business with integrity and accountability, therefore your participation toward this effort is encouraged and appreciated. With your input and feedback, we can run our business with these principals and maintain the quality of our patient care.
Yes. We want to have full transparency into our business so that we can provide positive feedback and make any immediate and necessary corrections. In fact, we need you to report. You know what is going on in our company on a daily basis. Additionally, you may have initial knowledge of an activity that may be cause for concern or have an unintended consequence. Therefore, reporting can minimize the potential negative impact on the company and our people. When you provide us with the positive input, it provides us the opportunity to identify best practices and new ideas that can be used to improve corporate culture and performance.
Reports are entered directly to a secure and encrypted EthicsPoint secure server to prevent any possible breach in security. Only the appropriate individuals within the company have access to the EthicsPoint reports. There are specific individuals within the company who are charged with evaluating the report. Access is given to these individuals based on the type of violation and the location of the incident. Each of the report recipients has had extensive training and expertise related to compliance, ethics, and Code of Conduct as well as legal and healthcare training. They are bound by a code of conduct themselves to keep all reports in the utmost confidence. We go to great lengths to protect the information, including the person making the report.

EthicsPoint is part of our Four Step Communication process, as outlined in our Code of Conduct. Utilizing the Four Step Process enables us to solve problems closest to situation. If you feel your supervisor is involved, then following the process help. However, if you feel that you have attempted to report and do not feel the matter has been addressed, then the Hotline number should be utilized.
Corrective actions are determined by the outcome of each investigation.
Each report is investigated and the length of time varies. An update will be placed in the system to inform when the issue has been resolved.
