Home Follow-up on a Report Code of Conduct FAQs

Dear PEC team,

It is essential that all PEC employees demonstrate the highest degree of integrity and ethics. EthicsMatters provides a safe, secure way to report concerns about potential ethical violations while protecting the identity of employees who wish to remain anonymous. Speaking up is always the right thing to do.

As an employee, you are required to report any possible violations of company policies, the PEC Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, accreditation standards or any laws or regulations. By raising questions and concerns, you are helping to attain and sustain an ethical and socially responsible work environment – one we can all be proud to be a part of. It may not be easy to do, but it will help us continue to improve. Collectively, we all have a responsibility to protect the organization from anyone who chooses to act unethically.

For EthicsMatters to be effective, I encourage you to report compliance issues as clearly and completely as possible to identify improper conduct so we can take appropriate corrective action. And, of course, EthicsMatters should only be used in good faith – for true and honest concerns.

Thank you for using EthicsMatters.

All reports submitted through EthicsMatters – whether by Hotline or Online – are maintained on a secure server operated by an independent company called EthicsPoint, thereby creating separation that protects the identity of anyone wishing to report anonymously. Each report is reviewed and forwarded to trained PEC investigators who will respond with the greatest discretion and confidentiality. Company policy prohibits retaliation against any employee who reports an ethical concern in good faith.

If you choose the EthicsMatters Hotline, your information will be taken by a trained EthicsPoint call center professional. If you choose the Online report process, you will be guided through a series of drop-down menus and open questions. Whichever method you choose, please provide as much detail as possible.

After you complete your report you will get a password and a “report key” that will allow you to provide and receive additional information regarding your report. After seven business days, you can select “Follow-up on a Report” tab to check for feedback and respond to follow-up questions from investigators. Please keep the password and report key in a safe place.
