QuidelOrtho has contracted with NAVEX to provide independent, secure, and confidential telephone and web-based systems for use by those who wish to report a concern regarding knowledge or suspicion of illegal or unethical conduct or violations of business conduct policies. In addition to providing service 24 hours a day, NAVEX offers translation services that allow telephone and web reports to be made in dozens of languages. (Please note: Confidential reporting may be prohibited in some countries.)
NAVEX's principal responsibilities are to:
It is not NAVEX's role to take action to address the concern, only to transmit the concern to QuidelOrtho.
As with matters of a sensitive nature, your first option is to always speak directly with your supervisor, a member of management, Compliance Officer or Human Resources representative. If you are uncomfortable with the direct approach of discussing your concern in the manner described above, or if you feel that your concern has not been resolved, or if you prefer confidentiality and anonymity, you should use the Hotline for QuidelOrtho.
If you wish to report a concern about knowledge or suspicion of illegal or unethical conduct or violations of business conduct policies, you may complete a report on this website, or you may speak with a specialist in NAVEX's call center. Regardless of which option you select, you will have the option to remain anonymous, where local law permits.
Global numbers for the Hotline for QuidelOrtho vary by country and are available 24 hours a day. In most countries, you may reach these telephone numbers at no cost to you.
In most cases, the Hotline will initially be answered in English. The call center specialist who answers your call will bring an interpreter on the line if you would prefer to report your concern in a language other than English.
QuidelOrtho strives to preserve the anonymity and confidentiality of individuals who submit allegations through the Hotline; however, some identities may become apparent during the course of the investigation.
You will be invited to disclose your identity, which shall be kept confidential and revealed only to the persons in charge of the investigation, except in cases of malicious intent from your side. No attempt will be made to determine your identity through electronic means; however, providing your contact information may help expedite the investigation.
You may report your concern anonymously through the web-based form or the QuidelOrtho Ethics Hotline, where local law permits. At the end of your telephone call or web-based report, you will receive a report key and be asked to create a password.
Please retain your report key and password to monitor the progress on your concern or provide additional information, if necessary. This process also allows investigators to ask follow-up questions to anonymous reporters.
QuidelOrtho will make its reasonable efforts to keep your identity anonymous, should any legal claims be raised against or involve QuidelOrtho. However, in the event of governmental investigation of your complaint or pursuant to judicial procedural rules, we may be required to disclose your identity.
NAVEX does not trace phone calls or use Caller Identification. Website reports come through a secure Internet portal, which does not trace or show user screen names. Further, NAVEX does not generate or maintain internal connection logs containing Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.
No information links your computer to NAVEX if you choose to make a report online.
At the end of your telephone call or web-based report, NAVEX will provide a report key and ask you to create a password. You will be asked to call back or visit the Hotline website 7-10 business days after your initial report. At that time, you can monitor progress on your report and learn whether any additional information is needed from you to address your concern.
Because of the high level of confidentiality that is maintained for reports, if you lose your report key or password, you will be required to file a new report. You may mention in the new report that this matter relates to another report you supplied earlier.
NAVEX notifies QuidelOrtho when a concern is received. The Company then commences an appropriate investigation, using internal or external resources with expertise in conducting investigations.
The information in your report is shared with appropriate investigation team members, and the concern is investigated promptly and discreetly. You may monitor the status of the investigation by contacting the Hotline, or by clicking the Follow Up link on the website.
Reports are entered directly on the NAVEX secure server to prevent any possible breach in security. NAVEX makes these reports available only to specific individuals within QuidelOrtho, who are charged with evaluating and investigating such allegations.
Threats or acts of retaliation against individuals who make a good faith report of suspected inappropriate conduct pursuant to QuidelOrtho policies or provide information in connection with a report by another individual will not be tolerated.
Allegations of retaliation will be investigated and disciplinary action will be taken against any employee found to have retaliated against others who reported such violations. Disciplinary action may include the immediate termination of employment.
If you feel you have been retaliated against for raising a concern, please contact your Human Resources representative or your Compliance Officer. You also have the option of submitting an additional report to QuidelOrtho Ethics Hotline.
