The University’s Commitment

The University of Missouri System is committed to institutional accountability, transparency and the protection of students, employees, patients and visitors. As an organization, we strive to promote and foster a culture that supports and expects professional, honest and respectful interactions to make our four universities, health system and the UM System better places to live, learn and work.

The University makes efforts to ensure you feel comfortable approaching your supervisor or manager to raise questions and voice concerns about workplace and University issues, or if you believe a violation of a law, policy or standard has occurred. However, in situations where conventional channels are uncomfortable or otherwise inappropriate, or where you prefer to report anonymously, the UM System Integrity and Accountability Hotline is available.

The University will honor its responsibility to hold individuals, regardless of rank, accountable for their actions when they are found to violate University policy. University officials will treat you with respect, and any report you make will be taken seriously and heard in a manner consistent with or adhering to University processes. Additionally, retaliation will not be tolerated; any individual, department or unit engaging in retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action per existing procedures.

About the UM System Integrity and Accountability Hotline

The UM System Integrity and Accountability Hotline is hosted by EthicsPoint, an independent third-party hotline provider. The Hotline does not replace or supersede existing reporting methods at the University. Reports submitted to the Hotline will be handled as promptly and discreetly as possible, with facts made available only to those who need to know to investigate and resolve the matter. Please note that if you choose to remain anonymous, certain types of reports may be difficult for the University to pursue.
