Our Commitment

About this Helpline

At Louisiana State University, we strive for excellence within our institutions, and we pride ourselves in fostering an environment which upholds the highest ethical standards. It is our belief that every member of our community plays an integral role in contributing to these efforts.

We ask for your support in assisting our Louisiana State University community in maintaining these principles. While we do not believe unethical actions characterize Louisiana State University, we want to ensure there are effective ways to report activities we believe to be inappropriate. To aid in that effort, the University has implemented the LSU Ethics, Integrity and Misconduct Helpline, a telephone and Internet-based reporting system.

You may use this Helpline to report concerns including but not limited to:

  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse - financial irregularities including the unauthorized taking or misuse of university resources, false claims, improper procurement or contracting activities, payroll abuse, and other financial conflicts of interest.
  • Title IX – sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, video voyeurism, stalking, and retaliation.
  • Human Resources – employment practices, working conditions, and employee misconduct, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, workplace violence, and substance abuse.

More about this Helpline

LSU is providing the Helpline because we are committed to encouraging open and honest communication, and we want to encourage the members of the LSU community to continue to report issues and/or concerns through established reporting channels whenever possible. We also understand the importance of confidentiality when it comes to reporting; therefore, we encourage the use of the Helpline in those situations where you wish to remain anonymous.

Louisiana State University assures Helpline reports will be handled promptly and judiciously. No retaliatory action will be taken against anyone for reporting or inquiring in good faith about potential misconduct or breaches of laws, rules, regulations, or university policies, or for seeking guidance on how to handle suspected misconduct or breaches.

If you would like to report a theft of institution property, please notify local law enforcement.
