Q: I know of a violation of Company policy related to standards of business conduct. Do I have to contact the Office of the Ombuds?

A: You are required to disclose the violation as soon as possible to an appropriate authority - your manager or other member of management, Human Resources representative, the Legal Department or, if you prefer, the Office of the Ombuds.

Q: If I identify myself when I contact the Office of the Ombuds, who will be told that I did so?

A: The Office of the Ombuds's office is very serious about protecting confidentiality. You do not need to give your name. If you give your name but tell the Office of the Ombuds that you want your name held in confidence, the Office of the Ombuds will do so to the greatest extent possible.

Q: What can I do if I think someone is retaliating against me for reporting a matter to management, Human Resources representative, the Legal Department or the Office of the Ombuds?

A: Report it to the Office of the Ombuds immediately. Retaliation is a violation of our policy, and appropriate action will be taken to stop the retaliation and prevent future occurrences.
