Can I make a report anonymously?

Submissions to the Ethics Line may be made anonymously, subject to local laws. If you choose to remain anonymous, we encourage you to provide as many details as possible and check back frequently for any questions or messages from our team. Amazon does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises concerns, makes a report in good faith or participates in an investigation.

What is the best way to report a concern?

We encourage you to speak with your manager, anyone in your management chain, Human Resources, or the Legal Department at your location if you have questions or witness unethical workplace behavior. It’s usually the fastest and most direct way to resolve an issue. However, if you would like to remain anonymous, please use the Ethics Line to report your concerns.

What type of situations should I report to the Ethics Line?

Amazon’s Ethics Line is designed for employees to report any violation of our Code of Business Conduct, or any compliance or ethics concerns you may have. If you have a question about the application of the Code of Business Conduct, or are in doubt about how to properly act in a particular situation, you should promptly discuss the issue with your manager, anyone in your management chain, Human Resources, or the Legal Department. You can also raise these questions through the Ethics Line.

Why should I report what I know?

In performing their job duties, Amazon employees should always act lawfully, ethically, and in the best interests of Amazon. Every employee has a responsibility to report suspected violations of our Code of Business Conduct or any applicable law.

Can I make a report in a language other than English?

Yes, the online reporting form is available in several languages. If you prefer to speak with someone in your native language, NAVEX will arrange to have your call received by an interpreter who is fluent in your native language to take your report.

How can I follow-up on my report?

When you file a report online or through the phone, you will receive a unique code called a “report key”, and you be asked to choose a password. Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. You will need this information to access the original report for feedback or questions.
